  • You said that the only movie that has time travel is Meet The Robinsons but what about Cinderella 3 A twist in time

  • 14:50

  • I was watching the incredibles part2 amd I whispered to my mom that the guys sister is the bad guy and right behind me a six year old girl said quote "she's the bad guy.". Lmao you can't get worst then that when a 6 year old kid can guess it amd be right.

  • The Frozen musical I think handled Hans way better along with a ton of other points, seriously go watch it if you want to see frozen improved

  • Disney thinking they’ve ended racism with Zootopia: 💃

  • Hans is not the only culprit, he had help with Anna. She helped him with a little white lie. Hans asked her did Anna know that Elsa had winter powers, she knew when she was a kid and years later ,she had no memory that time so she lied and said no I don’t know or I don’t remember. And later Anna had Hans to take care of the kingdom, when Hans’s head was turned to the people at his angle, he’s up to something evil after Anna returns. Thanks to Anna Hans betrayed the Snow Queen or Sister?

  • In the theaters when watching zootopia I turned to my sister during the scene where bellwether was on the computer and said "the sheep is the villain." I have never felt better about anything

  • Too bad Elsa wasn't a villain and become good at the end of Frozen 1 because then Frozen 2 could be 50% better

  • Being anti glitch doesn’t me you’re racist

  • 12:34 for me, at least. If we're talking twist villains, this is the shot(tm) that always comes to mind. (Plus that "if only there were someone out there who loved you" line) It maybe a "youngster" thing to say but to me Hans is the blueprint of this trope: I remember being a fourth grader watching this movie in cinema with my cousins and not seeing this coming at all, this was my introduction to the trope, but I do understand now why rank him relatively low.

  • Fun fact: in one of the trailers Hans is referred to as "the nice guy", which I don't know if it was on purpose, but it was an interesting touch.

  • I hate the Hans twist villain story so much that I am willing to fully endorse the troll theory. Also, Hans is currently my favorite character in that movie.

  • They played us like a damn FIDDLE

  • Disney: basically creates and enforces all the princess tropes Disney with frozen: ...but what if we didn’t?

  • THANK YOU. I always tell people how waternoose is the absolute best twist villain.

  • For evelyn I was really suprised because i never noticed her clothes or the shadow thing

  • Dr. Facilier is a quick twist villain but is still a twist villain to me

  • The narrorator kinda sounds like violet from incredibles

  • I loved what you said about Hans and Anna’s chemistry. Honestly that was the reason Frozen disappointed me when I first saw it, his betrayal, while unexpected, seemed SOOO forced and uncalled for and it really made the rest of it unenjoyable because I really liked Hans and, yes, he and Anna got along so much better than Anna and Kristoff did. Thank you for addressing this. - Elijah

  • I like Ernesto de la Cruz because they aren't trying to convince anyone that he is the good guy. Unlike Mr.ThatWasHisMistake you just asume there is no villain in Coco since the family feud is enough for the story but when the reveal comes everything lines up perfectly. He is so perfect for the plot and everything he does makes sense. Not to mention that his evil plan is already done and he can just enjoy the afterlife he stole from his partner wich is really something I didn't see coming at all, but still loved it being a thing. And damn he is pretty scary not gonna lie.

  • What do you have against Miles Alxerod? He's honestly the best villain in a cars movie and one of the better villains in a Disney movie

  • Wait- Evil Endeavor looks so much like the reporter girl from MegaMind I thougt it was ACTUALLY the girl from MegaMind

  • Frollo is best villan.

  • Idk what to say, so I'll just sat *T H A T W A S H I S M I S T A K E*

  • Honestly syndrome is my favorite villain “MY NAME IS NOT BUDDY !!!” 😂

  • I LOVE COCO

  • Rainbow factory gave me PTSD, thanks for that tho, good memories.

  • We need DIO to be a Disney movie and it’s him just kicking dogs.

  • I really liked Meet the Robinsons.

  • Most boring video ever

  • Heck, if any company can make a crab spider look cuddly and a pink teddy bear look intimidating, it’s Pixar.

  • Big hero 6 is a good movie with a good villain the reason why I didn't see it coming was they didn't show Todashi's body either

  • 2:58 rainbow factory

  • Teka & Te Fiti really remind me of Pele & Hi'iaka. Any other Hawaiians here agree?

  • cool

  • That mustache guy isnt here right? Good

  • 9:48 LOL

  • All the twists I didn't see coming. The very obvious hints always fly over me. I'm stupid.

  • I feel that Frozen’s Hans was a good 180 villain twist, because he made efforts to seem like a genuinely good person. He said things that made surrounding characters and the audience alike feel that he cared for the two sisters. And then he betrayed us as the audience with the almost-kiss scene at the end. That act of messing with Ona in such a way made us hate him so much more which a villain is someone we should hate. On the other hand, the shot where he’s smiling under the boat would be much better left out. It’s not manipulating any other characters and makes us feel manipulated separately. This last detail was pointed out by a previous commenter.

  • 20:21 and the tone of his voice BEAR-ly shifts at all

  • What if Hans’ plan was to purposely look like a hero. In all the shots of him when he’s not alone with someone else, he acts just like that. And he would inherit the kingdom because there would be a succession crisis and he would be on the side of the people.

    • That’s not really how succession works though, unless he waged war and took over directly, they have no reason to hand over a position of power to someone with no relation to their kingdom. Even his claim that he and Anna said their vows before she passed would realistically hold no weight since there was no pastor/witness or physical documentation; just his word alone would not be enough. edit: also as Arendelle is ruled by a monarchy and not a democracy, having the people on his side wouldn’t really be all that useful in the long run since they have no say in who their ruler is.

  • I feel like with Hans, he was going to save the sister, and then at that point realized that everything was in place, and he doesn't need to be the husband/prince, but instead could bump off Ana

  • Work and play and get along with eachother

  • I think I could be fine with hans' turn if they never had sven, who is a poor character with horrible development and no chemistry with Anna. Heck I love that the villain song is a love song. And fixer upper is sick a horrible song. Especially if your are trying to teach the dangers of gaslighting.

  • The worst twist villain was the mustache man from germany

  • Coco had the best one but the bear was second and child abductor monster is third

  • Meet the robinsons is not the only time travel movie. Endgames main premise was going back in time. And that came out in 2019. And literally almost all the star wars movies.

  • When it comes to Hans yeah I agree with MatPat Film Theory about him and I wish the Trolls were the villains. Not saying I don't like the idea of him but AHH it was handled so bad. I mean for crap sake he smiled with that lovely dovey smile when no one saw him

  • The photo being a bit of a hack isn’t that unrealistic. Spanish men in general want broad manly shoulders so it makes sense for a formal photo to have shoulder pads that make him look bulkier.

  • Okay but some of the twists were very unexcpected. Mainly the incredibles 2

  • Hol up

  • 5:41 It should be a crime to trigger my PTSD by playing Rainbow Factory like that wtf

  • I think for Mr Waternoose reason why he looks like a picture of loving grandfathers because of the bow tie in the vest that he wore

  • CoCo and Wreck it Wralph were my favorites because they both had clues throughout the film, but just enough mystery to not completely solve motivation till the end. Guesses that I got correct while in the movie theater (which also play into my least favorite twist villains) were... - Frozen: because the Disney Princess movies had her done a love triangle. Or at least a love triangle with a clear person the character should not be with from start. - Incredibles 2: I knew it was her because she had thr likeliest motivation and technology to do it. The only thing I didnt know was if her brother was in on it. - Big Hero 6: I literally guessed Callahan when he stopped Hero at the elevator because the lighting was slightly ominous when stating he should join the college. No knowledge of motivation, just a wild guess that turned right.

    • Wreck it Ralph gives me nightmares

  • 3:26 nah thats not bowler hat guy thats heinz doofenshmirts

  • I was expecting Bellwether much higher. She was the only twist villain that felt actually central to the theme of the movie, which was prejudice and racial privilege. She literally turned the wolf in sheep’s clothing trope on its head. I think it’s a little unfair to base this list on screen time and setup - while Bellwether wasn’t a major character throughout the movie, she did the twist villain job better than anyone else imo

  • 2:59 is when the list starts

  • pixar can make a twist villian, disney cant [ not including wreck it ralph ]

  • imagine if hiro's brother is actually the villian, IT WOULD BE A EPICC

  • I'm fucking hate twist villain

  • the twist villian of big hero 6 should have been his brother with a burned face who survived and killed his teacher for deceiving him and killed him but he felt to guilty so he ran away i think that would have been waaaay better

  • Really well put together video and interesting thoughts, thanks for making me think 😊

  • Maybe it's narcissistic collapse

  • All I see about this movie now is the part when zeus and hera wake up and they say Dababy and it shows the dababy car

  • Hans is the worst because he wasn't supposed to be the villian. They rewrote the script last minute cause disney couldn't sell elsa toys if she was a villian. So they shoehorned him in and thanks to a few plot holes, it shows. Idk why 50% of this video is justifying Hans. Frozen was a terribly written movie with good characters and great music. Lets not get carried away.

  • I disagree with the Moana one, it was so easy to guess and wasn't hype at all

  • The biggest positive I will give Hans is the subversion of expectations. Given that is one of the points of Frozen, they did it very well.

  • Ok, having rainbow factory be the musical transition jingle sent me through such a goddamn cringe trip back to my middle school memories I almost had to stop. I dunno if I should applauded the pull or wag my finger at it.

  • 30 minutes for this holy shit

  • What about titan? Aka Hal the simp also, “waternoose” when you try to hang yourself underwater

  • How dare u insult goobs character

  • Ya sound like Mrs. Incredible with a stuffy nose

  • She sounds like jimmy neutron

  • Them: ... “Being Disney’s only time travel movie” Me: **Cries in Minute Men**

  • Best twist villian was EA

  • Promare

  • I think the Up twist might be my favorite to this day. That scene still makes my stomach plummet and my blood run cold

  • I loved a lot of twist villians but sticky Pete and ernesto de la Cruz were the ones that surprised me the most

  • "Rather than this very elaborate conspiracy that she worked way too hard on if all she wanted to do was start a race war." yeah, she should've taken Pearl's route and started a splatfest called "Prey vs Predators"

  • The Callaghan thing you know him being normal until he is revealed as the villain, well something like that happened to me. My classmates and our teacher went to Iceland, and the bus driver we hired turned out to uhh like kids a lot like a lot a lot.

  • I stick by Judge Frollo being the worst Disney villain so far, even though he was never a twist villain

  • Amazing Video. 👏👏👏👏

  • LOL when she pulled up Evelyn deavors name and one of the image is her next to the chick from mega mind

  • I think it would've been better if Kristoff or the trolls were evil tbh

  • KONO DIO DA

  • So basically, anyone or Everyone you trust or you meet first, is the Villain?

  • no one: CellSpex: it's not a protag turning into a villian, but a villain turning out to be a...destination.

  • I find auto an interesting villain because he doesn't have any villainous motivations or qualities- he's just doing what he was instructed to do, which means he isn't really a villain per se, even though he fills the role. What he does do is present a counterpart to Wall-E and Eve, who break from their programming for the greater benefit (and love) whilst auto strictly remains railed to his instructions, regardless of the consequences

  • I recently read a book where the villain was literally mention like twice in the entire book and people didn't find out he was evil until the last 3-4 chapters

  • I feel like some villains that are “twist villains”, aren’t really twists. They just are characters we don’t expect to either be a part of the story, or just weren’t in a position to be the villain, but they simply... Are? I don’t think they count.

  • 1:23 "I mean the vilan could be secretly revealed to be mr rogers- that would be supprizing but wouldn't make it a good twist" and this is where I come in to show you that exact thing but with a good twist (wait was there even a twist? idk) "With civilians looking on in total awe The fight raged on for a century Many lives were claimed but eventually The champion stood The rest saw their better Mr. Rogers in a blood stained sweater"

  • how dare you kill jonathan's dog that many times

  • Okay but Hans and Belwether’s came out of fucking no where so personally I dislike them more than say other twist villains

  • "And the tone of his voice *bear*ly shifts at all" Clever, clever

  • Ok, don't hate me for this cause I'm just really curious, but why do we always tend to have such a high standard for cartoon movies? I mean, if the movie was targeted towards kids, isn't entertainment all it needs to deliver? Again, no hate just curiosity

  • Imagine raising a child and they decide to become noodles

  • I watched some Minecraft rp that had a bad twist that everyone expected

  • Everyone: Hans does a complete 180 of his personality Well...yeah, but it’s actually kinda realistic...and genius Think about it, you’re 18th in line to rule your kingdom, meaning 17 siblings need to die before you get your turn on the throne, by the time that happens you won’t have much time on that throne He’s a prince, he’s raised to be POLITE, but he’s gonna have to wait insanely long before he becomes king, something he’s probably not happy about, and he just bumps into some random woman with his horse, so he apologizes and checks in to make sure she’s okay, she gets attracted and he decides “I might as well introduce myself” and so he does and learns she’s a Princess Suddenly, he says in a surprised tone “Princess?” The spark of an idea appears in his head; “I’ve got a charm on a Princess right now, soooo...what if I use that? She’s been locked in that castle for years, she’s probably DYING of meet someone, and she’s charmed by me...what if...I get a little flirty, remove the soon to be queen, and then, with her sister as the heir and me as her husband, Anna becomes queen and I become KING” He PRETENDS to hit it off with Anna, he PRETENDS to relate to her, he PRETENDS to be this nice guy, but in the end he doesn’t care about Anna or Elsa, all he cares about is ruling a kingdom, but plan A fails when Elsa’s powers get revealed, then his plan changes “Elsa still has some influence over Anna’s actions, and now she has powers I might have no chance of going against, so what if I use this as well? Her people FEAR her, and Anna is off on some suicide mission to bring Elsa back, meaning I’m the only true monarch in Arrandelle for a while, I can use this to win people over to my side, I can gain their trust, simple nice tasks, other monarchs would be concerned with keeping helpful supplies away from commoners, which would put them in bad views, but I can be different and supply these people with what they need to get through this crisis, keep the act up around those who can influence things” Then Anna’s horse returns, and Hans may believe Anna is possibly dead, but his plan won’t work unless both girls are dead, not to mention a ‘search and rescue’ mission makes Hans look even better in the eyes of the people he hopes to rule, so he leads a ‘search and rescue’ mission, where he eventually finds Elsa’s ice castle and ‘saves’ Elsa to both incapacitate her and make himself look even better At this point, Arrandelle’s people view Hans as a saint who can do no wrong, Anna’s gone, but Hans still doesn’t know if she’s dead or not, Elsa’s captured, and deemed a threat to the kingdom, Hans is looking good but as long as Anna’s alive, he isn’t in the winning position, so he opts to head back out to look for her, supposedly to save her but really to ensure his victory is secured, but Anna returns and explains the danger she’s in, that she’s DYING, and that’s when Hans realized “Holy shit...I won, it all worked, she’s gonna die, I’ll be the only monarch fit to rule this kingdom, and with no way to return to my own kingdom, I even have an excuse to stay and rule here!” Of course there’s the question of “Why did he pretend he was gonna kiss Anna?” The answer is simple; he wanted to gloat, he wanted to rub it in what his plan was, after all, Anna was dying, Elsa was captured, he was in check and his opponents had no moves left to make, so he did one last thing to rub in his victory, he leaned in and said “Oh Anna, if only there was someone out there who loved you” and proceeded to explain everything to her, thinking “She’s about to die, I can pin it on Elsa, and I’m the only trustworthy monarch left, no one to stand in my way, no one to stop me, I WIN, so why not let her know, why not show off how much of a genius I truly am” He didn’t expect MVP Olaf though!

  • Bruh remember when they gave away the villain 5 seconds into cloudy with a chance of meatballs 2? Nice job.

  • what about disney itself
