  • 00:24 - this really looks like the intro to the Bionic Man show. "I cant hold her, she's breaking up, she's breaking up!"

  • The guy at the end of the assembly line at 3.00 probably fought in the trenches in World War 1 lol. Desperate for them greenbacks lmao.

  • This vid has addressed the fundametals of ejection and questions that are asked by the PC Flight Simulator community. I'm quite sure that PC gamers now how to fly a plane but fear and responsibility can't be reproduced in VR. I like this archive.

    • RE fear: does Flight Simulator include the scenario where the ejection seat almost takes out your parachute (uzfire.info/camera/video/dpmTdZOUr6ufmKk to uzfire.info/camera/video/dpmTdZOUr6ufmKk )?

  • I feel like I'm half way to becoming a pilot now after watching this.

  • You tube is adding intro ads that can't be avoided.

  • 4:36

  • He'll yeah, im that last guy.. if you can not determine the attitude or the stability of the aircraft.. auto bail.

  • The marked lumber naively tow because middle neatly shelter given a agreeable betty. ubiquitous, screeching measure

  • They should put ejection seats in Ryan Air. All the drunks would be “What does this handle do?” Problem solved.

  • Looks like he ejected just fine. Open chute, safe landing. I cant tell you how much I hate CLICKBAIT TITLES 👎

  • Satanic, U see the lantern on the sigil. Thats a nod to the Jinn. Do the pilots know their bosses in washington worship the Devil ?

  • Well when you have the thought in the back of your head that you'd be federally criminally charged by the people who pay you to do your job....one pilot was put on trial for bailing out while his plane was hit because they said he could have brought it home, he bailed out cuz his squadron mate had taken too much damage and bailed out already so he helped his fellow American and got charged w a 20 some million dollar plane he didn't bring back....

    • If I was in charge of flying a multi million dollar vehicle that's not mine and I can possibly be charged for not bringing it back home, I'd die in the vehicle as well! It's not ego it's not peer pressure its not looking weak it's the consequences of ejecting....

  • Yep it's not good to parachute out into the same place you just blew half the population to hell..

  • Our B-52D was the last shot down on 4 Jan 1973. We all survived.

  • I ejected over Las Vegas one time. The stewardess was a bit rude about it, but I just said “Hey, at least I didn’t get any on you like the last time”. That was the last time I flew on United. 😕

  • True heroes

  • Imagine my shock, I only just found out from this I’m in the bloody US Airforce - I’m British! How did this happen?

  • if only Goose had learned from this .....

  • Saw a navy pilot eject from a jet in NJ when I was cutting classes in high school.

  • Why is your legs dangling

  • The Navy's venerable A-3D, a three-man refueler (Whale) c. 1950-60s, having a tail hook without ejection seats (and now retired) was then commonly referred to as 'all 3 dead' if ditched at sea.

  • I ejeculate right on time every time.

  • My uncle ejected from a F4 in Vietnam. Luckily he was able to make it to the water before they ejected. His back is messed up from it. He ejected at close to Mach 1. Said got hit and hauled ass to the water I’m glad he made it. Was picked up by helicopter much better than by the VC.

  • Awsome theirs a black pilot off to the left

  • "we can always rebuild the aircraft but we can't rebuild the pilots"

  • I hate watching... Because I'm concerned that their conclusion, of so many pilots being killed, do to waiting to long to eject. Is a result of them refusing to blame the aircraft. Or admitting, they have instilled to much fear of the consequences for losing an aircraft.. Just a nobody talking. But I have worked for the government for over 26 years. And know a shit show when I see one.... if a pilot is killed. The cause, and the conclusion of their investigation. Should always be, the faulty aircraft. Never that a great pilot tried to hard or to long to save the plane.

  • I’ve been ejected out of several beer joints..... All Violently I might add....😳

  • A second too late for the plane only. It did not make it.

  • Remember guys, it works like it's supposed to and it doesn't hurt - This 😎😎

  • just in time ,,loved f4 phantom .. blue angels over bentwaters was a favorite

  • If your co-pilot so much as farts and it sounds like he said - EJECT NOW - just do it.

  • The Chinese Air Force version of this video is called: Planes Cost Millions - Save Plane!

  • i came here from War Thunder, loock at those beautiful aircraft, they "J" out to denied the kill to the enemy lol

  • 60's & 70's U.S. armed forces were the BEST!

  • I've witness up close ejections at launch and recovery or landings. Some to late by one second some that just cowboyed up and lost it all. Pilots are and always will be the best people on earth. Mostly navy pilots with many carrier sorties.

  • Ejecting out of that F-111 at 20,000 feet must give you a LOT of time to think!! "If I call Eject, eject, eject," said the T-6 instructor, "Don't ask why because I will already be gone!".

  • Is anyone else yelling "PUNCH OUT!! PUNCH OUT!!" at the screen?

  • My girlfriend does'nt like me eating wild plants when im bushcrafting. The other week i text her,as she was trying to phone me.i said "im in hospital.i ate what i thought was a wild onion,it turned out to be a daffodil bulb.dont worry ill be out in the spring" 🤣

  • You don't want to separate from your fantastic Martin Baker only to see your aeroplane land on someone's house full of children.

  • Love seeing the f4...just a good lookin bird

  • Love seeing the f4...just a good lookin bird

  • Gotta love the low-key cinematography.

  • Fascinating

  • i always wondered if a fighter pilot was concerned about where a damaged aircraft might end up. i guess they dont think about that at all

  • This video is complete propaganda. Starts off with "bad" ejections/disorientation, to a few stories of practice missions of ejections that were 100% successful. What really makes me upset is at the beginning of this video is this propaganda video blames the wingman and NOT the ejection system.

  • Don't want to join the Caterpillar Club!

  • really bad audio and video quality

  • 600 feet per SECOND sink rate. Dear lawd - that's ... like woah! No wonder the system can't cope with that! (Grabs calculator - that's like 400 miles per hour - straight down!)

  • This is analogous to any failing relationship.

    • L0L!

  • I drove a big rig....wish we had ejection seats for unruly passengers 😒

  • Sorta off-topic, but in the 101st Airborne back in the early 1960's, we had a response to "Why would you want to jump out of a perfectly good airplane?" "There's no such thing as a perfectly good airplane!"

  • I ejected a mix tape in my Geo Metro in 1995, and the tape got caught in the player, ruining it forever. It was a great mix tape.

    • Sorry for your loss. Hope Geo Metro was destroyed, at least.

  • 21:14 That mustache though. Is that a mustache?

  • I'm in an out-of-control fighter aircraft right now, and pulled up this handy video to help me decide. Thanks, very useful, I think it's time to ej

  • My chemistry teacher in high school crashed a bomber and that was the last flight he ever went on. Retired him out and thus the teaching job!

  • Brillant vid 🇬🇧✌️

  • Situational Awareness . . . phrase that does not need explaining ! 😎

  • Ex USMC Crash Crew (MOS 7051). I will testify that the Aces 2 was a lot easier to safety than the Martin-Bakers.

  • Parachuting into the fire ball would really suck.

  • What are the consequences for the pilot after survived ejection? (Assuming it is his/her fault.)

  • I watched this back 1981, it was interesting because I work on the ejection system but, I didn't think my butt was ever going to fly in a fighter. I was wrong.

  • If you abandon your aircraft, there is a stigma, that you mishandled the aircraft, it’s your fault, you got outside the flight envelope.

  • Flat spin

  • wow! no if at all! oh those cowboys..... i know i know they are not a cow born boys! true true they are not

  • Salute to JOHN BOYD!!! Read his biography by Robert Coram!

  • I ejaculated 1000s of times and I'm still here to tell the tale.

    • still here and holding on to your stick..

  • Why not add parachute for the whole aircraft???

  • He & his are the first to come to mind on Vetrans day, along with the members of my family,Grandpa,Dad,and uncles-WWll,Korea, Vietnam

  • I remember being at ShepardAFB in Air Evac medic training and the Egress training school there had a rookie trainee set off the eject seat that was live for training...not much you can do for someone so close to the explosive blast.

  • What a bunch of pussies!!!

  • I may be wrong but but there is a sense of trying to save the equipment and I've been there before but not with planes, i almost got myself in a lot of trouble and I allowed the situation to transpire but thank God I got out before it fell apart, oh, I'm a heavy diesel mechanic and I've could have been killed in a situation but the amount of money loss was nothing compared to your life

  • Of necessity, pilots must have enormous self confidence and supreme belief in their abilities. This must act against them in the ejection bracket. “I can do this “!

  • Pero q hermosa es 😍😍😍😍😍 11:27

  • "Some of our newer airplanes like the A10......" Had me there

  • Thank you all u heroic military pilots! You are the best! Special thanks to Julie....hopefully she wasnt harrassed but instead encouraged by "real man" pilots. You guys rock!😉

  • Marine Corps Aviation Maintenance Officer heard saying "That Aircraft has only Crashed once. I consider that a Up Gripe. Patch the holes up, slap some paint on it and send it back up".

  • Im only here for the music track. F Yuss

  • Awesome upload.

  • "i broke my right shoulder" "it didn't hurt"

  • 4:36

  • I was in the USAF Air Weather Service when this was made and still remember some of these incidents 40 years later. Loved that Air Force.

  • Could use one of those seats when I'm driving the in-law to the grocery store.

    • @Chris Robinson Both are an option. If I'm going over a cliff, I eject ;). If she gets mouthy....."hasta la vista baby! "

    • But would you eject the in-law or yourself?

    • I can SO relate. In-laws suck.

  • A colleague, RAAF F111, high speed low level in the bombing range, hit a pelican that penetrated into the right seater. He initiated ejection but the aircraft had rolled violently with the impact and the capsule went out sideways, high speed low level. Did not make it. Another colleague, a RAAF FAC embedded with US Forces, was controlling a flight of F100's, close air support of troops in contact, up near the Laotian border. Took a heavy burst of machine gun ground fire that cause his OV 10 to roll out of control. Ejected at around 1000 feet whilst inverted. Parachute riser wrapped around his neck and nearly choked him on descent whilst he got out his 9mm Browning. US chopper came in to rescue him. Had some whisky just last week October 2020 with him and he is still the coolest dude I have ever met. Still flies a Learjet.

  • My impression of the F4 is that is was such a flawed aircraft... success in one case wad achieved by tricking mig pilots into thinking they were something else, but while it looks like a good jet fighter, it seems to have alot more in common with older jets rather than the newer super sonic jets... To this day an F16 Fighting Falcon is a great and highly competitive Jet fighter! The F4 just seems like a steppung stone stage where pilots were forced to iron out issues

  • Si nose egepta se saca lachucha

  • "Be kind and rewind" before you eject

  • thank you for your services

  • My dad ejected from a Bronco a couple of years before I was born. Glad he had good judgement!

  • Russian ejection seats are the best in the world!

  • You know sh*t's about to go down when the disco kicks on.

  • I am not even a pilot... Why am I watching a video from a year after I was born?

  • Stall spin crash burn and die. A hellava way to fly.

  • Now I understand why militar pilots are usually not accepted in the civil aviation.

  • In peace it would be fear of the enquiry.

  • I'll never benefit from the lessons in this training video, however, I am 1000 times more prepared today than I was yesterday.

  • I think of Goose every time i see a plane go into a flat spin.

  • If you have doubts get out

  • I’ve heard that after 3 ejections a pilots career is over due to compression of the spine! This was with Martin and baker seat! Not sure if true

  • Left the AF 25 years ago. Watching this video now just made my blood boil. The entire set-up is a prime example of absence of CRM. Always make sure the accident report verdict is "Pilot Factor". If unsuccessful ejection : "Pilot Factor, delayed ejection, we won't pay any compo!" If successful ejection : 'Pilot Factor, premature ejections, could have landed safely, we won't pay your wages anymore!" A$$holes !!

  • Happy all these men did successfully eject. Truly happy they are all able to live to old age.
