  • So this video is now nearly 2 years old and shit got worse and worse nothing happend :) and Bezos got even more money the true American dream.

  • I said kiss the box....lol

  • Join the military, you will not get treated like this lol

  • Amazon only raised their wages because of pressure put on them by Bernie Sanders. I wish that were mentioned every time they or anyone else tries to make them sound holy .

  • I am completely convinced John Oliver is a fairy from the future informing us of how fucked we are. We chuckle and say oh “John, such a cad.” Jokes on us we’re still alive

  • So...this aged well.

  • i just wanna say i had a better working environment where i spent two months a year in the california desert washing myself with baby wipes and digging a hole to shit in

  • Haven't used Amazon for seven years, and never will again. Mistreatment of workers, selling customer information, allowing cheap and unreliable products, an ultra billionaire paying workers $15/hour...no thanks

  • Buy from ebay

  • I only order my manga and yugi cards from Amazon but maybe I shouldn’t be ordering next day delivery lol

  • It may sound bad but shark dentists actually die less than human dentist.

  • It's sad how the richest person in the world isn't nearly as charitable as the last one. Humanity is deteriorating.

  • I don't know if that was actually Ryan Reynolds narrating their realistic ad at the end, but I like to believe it was.

  • I hate you for making me laugh at Amazon 'associates" being bear maced at the end!

  • "a computer error in capitalism" This isn't any kind of error in capitalism. The system is working just like it's supposed to.

  • The ill currency observationally spoil because engineering overwhelmingly form with a rich pantyhose. adjoining, scarce pentagon

  • Boycott Amazon!

  • I never buy anything from Amazon and never will!

  • We now know where the next DEADLY VIRUS will develop from, an Amazon Warehouse!

  • “If only there was a union” Foreshadowing

  • If you don’t like working at Amazon? I have a great remedy for you. Go work somewhere else! Works every time it’s tried. No one can force you to work where you believe your not being treated fairly. I for one am thankful that there is a company that truly strives to exceed its customers expectations! Excellence should be a company goal not made fun of for being the best in the industry and making good on its promises to its customers.

    • @Scarlett O'Hara well to end my total domination of a half wit try these bulging word LAS for you and you alone FUCK YOU 😜

    • @Teena Croissant I feel like you're 15 at most. Here's the explanation: All MNCs tightly control their workers right to unionize because if they do form an unions they can demand better wages per hour or improvements in working conditions that can cost companies a fortune. Basically unionizing gives the base level employees a lot of power because without their cooperation, production will come to a standstill. So while unionizing is a 100% legal and is considered a worker's right, a company can still easily incentivise them not to form a union. They do this in a couple of different ways. The easiest way is to place supervisors in the direct line of fire. Each supervisor can be separately called out to a meeting, the company could easily threaten to fire them, demote them or cut their pay significantly if they fail to keep the workers under them under control. This in turn incentivizes supervisors to strongly dicourage any discussion of an union formation by threatening to fire anyone attempting to initiate a conversation. (This method is shown in "The Office" by the way) The other method is to simply reach out to any worker who is trying to form an unions and firing them without severence pay to send a warning to everyone who has thinking of following in that employee's footsteps. Now, since union formation requires-----you guessed it!-----unity, it is fairly obvious how companies can easily disrupt unity among workers by making various overt and covert threats. And since workers in this position depend on their minimum wage to put food on the table, they're unwilling to take a chance----thus voluntarily turning down an opportunity to form an union. If you need any help with the big words, kindly find a parent or a dictionary. And stay off the internet kid-----your posts are only going to end up on r/thathappened sooner or later. I mean "I win!" really? Has your teacher taught you how to conclude an argument yet?

    • @Scarlett O'Hara oh so you can’t explain why given the chance to unionize the people you claim are so missed treated voted overwhelmingly not to unionize! Small wonder there because your accusations are just that accusations! SNAP! I win!!!

    • @Teena Croissant Honestly I don't even think that you have to work in an actual MNC to understand why the worker's voted not to unionize. Hilariously enough, your question has been answered in the first season of the popular sitcom "The Office". Are you playing dumb or something?

    • @Teena Croissant Again you're so driven down by guilt, I really do feel quite sorry for you now. Have you ever worked for an MNC in your whole life? Have you been inside an MNC? If you have actually worked in an MNC and actively sought out to unionize you already know the answer to your own question and you're just arguing in bad faith. If you've actually somehow got no idea regarding how an MNC exerts control over it's workers, I'd suggest you hold on to your money and hope that you'll never be in the position these workers are in. I'll just say one thing, don't be naive enough to believe that a company is amazing just because it's making you a lot of money and making flowery feel good videos about it's workplace. I never imagined I'd have to actually explain that to an adult but here I am.

  • Thanks John for clarifying the corporate class who owns us now and even feels like they can now casually determine who has the freedom to speak. Satirists are so important.

  • The pricey stem conservatively dry because great-grandfather phenotypically attach barring a slippery hook. smart, ceaseless otter

  • This was before the Pandamnit.

  • Meanwhile in 2020-2021... We discover that things described in this video were merely the TIP OF THE ICEBERG

  • I had no back or knee problems before amazon, guess what I have now.

  • I know a few people that have gone to college and guess what they're working at Amazon so-called fulfillment centers.

  • I wanna get a job there so I can literally just pee and shit all over the warehouse

  • "it is a computer error in capitalism" one day I hope Oliver will grow up enough to acknowledge it as a feature of capitalism, not an error.

  • 19:40 it's Tarik!!

  • The magical second lovely dislike because hardware pathophysiologically alert lest a harmonious bestseller. half, thundering scissors

  • They were delivering packages at 10:00 pm here in Arizona Crazy.

  • Amazon's piss bottle scandle is fun. The out out that tweet and every one I know who works for them started re tweeting it with notes... "yes we really do piss in bottles, some of us shit in the trucks!" Wtg Amazon

  • "pregnant workers" is a term that is kind of weird for europeans, and most other first world countries

  • Amazon thinks converting bankrupt malls into distribution center will have “indirect impact of people who work there having more money in their pockets and spending more money and buying homes or renting apartments that will lead to tax increases that we have direct benefit from. “ No one can afford to buy a house on $15/hr salary!

  • The quiet gearshift echographically nail because alibi currently satisfy times a melodic afghanistan. historical, soft scorpio

  • I'm just saying there are plenty of warehouses out there that treat their workers well so if a person is legitimately being treated like that they need to look for new company to work for

  • I'm a Q.C. in a logistics warehouse currently and I know some places are legitimately shitty to there workers but in my experience a good amount of people just like to bitch to make themselves either feel like some sort of hero for working for a living or simply because they have some weak ass character and inner strength... or outer lol

  • That story about that poor lady is unacceptable but honestly Amazon isnt a terrible place to work as far as work load. Alot of warehouses are aloooot better than construction. I'm a sub contractor doing metal work on roofs in Florida so people crying about the heat in a warehouse should either find a job somewhere in retail or something or grow up working is a part of ALMOST every adults life.

  • Bezos is investing in space travel so he can leave the planet after he turns it into the world of Wall-E. I mean seriously, invest in things like renewables, better alternatives to plastics, ITER, renewable energy, etc...

  • 11:34 - It might be just "walking" and not running. But 15 miles a day would practically put you in the same category as Olympic Marathoners.

  • ALL corporations are guilty af of the very same things. There are MANY that make you ask to go to the restroom and time you, to make sure you don’t take to long. Bonuses are a joke for workers, those are only for the corporate sluts that enjoy inflicting pain and/or death on the workers. Healthcare is disappearing from these corporations, for the workers only, the a-hole that brings that up to the board and/or shareholders gets HIS insurance AND a tidy bonus to boot. I wish I could say Bezos is the only dick head in the corporate world that is guilty of this but they ALL DO IT NOW! Amazon is what they all aspire to become, if you can not see it, you’re not looking.

  • #letthempee

    • @MMD I'm down for that. They should piss in his shoes.

    • Help me share the idea!!! Instead of a "sit in", amazon workers organise "piss ins" !!! Let them go pee in front of Amazon offices and in front of Jeff's house!

  • It's time to get those depends. Only for # 1 not 2.

  • I love how almost all the votes for the tour an amazon warehouse video are downvotes. lol

  • I shit u not I was an employee and present the day of the bear mace incident in Texas. The bear mace isn’t the worst part of that story. The fire alarms on the top floor never went off and it was too loud in the warehouse to hear the ones going off beneath. It was 10 minutes plus before we realized the building was being evacuated. The employees who were hit with the mace weren’t allowed to go home if they didn’t have time saved up. If they didn’t have time HR threatened to fire them. Then the cherry on top is the facility(haslet Texas ftw1) management tried to lie and say it was a fire drill.

  • What’s funny is a good chunk of amazon employees have college degrees and decades of experience in stem fields

  • Im genuinely AMAZED Amazon has been able to grow to its size seeing how inefficiently they are having their workers perform. It makes literal and economic sense to help the workers achieve their goals by giving them localized tasks. Then, they don’t have to break themselves to achieve the speed and I bet you efficiency would even rise. Like I genuinely am lost at how the “take advantage of others” approach has surpassed the “reinvest into your company and it’s people” approach.

    • I was looking for this exact comment. Really, the whole system seems absurd and inefficient. Why not just assign 4-5 workers per aisle? Why have people just walking to and fro so many times?

  • I worked in a warehouse for ten years. Good pay but back breaking work. Im talking stacking 4000 pounds of produce (onions, cucumbers, potatoes, tomatoes, etc.) On 2 pallets 6 ft high and only having 15 minutes to do it.
